These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to mydeas.co, the Mydeas newsletter, and related services (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who we are
The Service is operated by Mydeas, LLC ("Mydeas," "we," "us"), a Minnesota limited liability company. Mydeas is a library of small, specific, actionable ideas — life hacks, things to do with kids, ways to love the people who raised you, and projects worth building.

2. The Service
The Service includes:
- The public website at mydeas.co, where you can browse, search, and read ideas, and download a skill bundle for an idea.
- Optional member accounts, which let you save ideas, follow categories, and mark ideas you like or have tried.
- The weekly newsletter. Issues are sent From: Mydeas at hello@mail.mydeas.co. Replies and other contact go to hello@mydeas.co. You can unsubscribe in one click from any issue. The newsletter is delivered by Beehiiv on our behalf.
- A public, read-only API, and additional tools available only to authorized staff.
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. Ideas on the site are curated by us. Sending us an idea does not create an obligation to publish it, and publication does not make you an employee, contractor, or joint author unless we agree otherwise in writing.
3. Accounts
Some features require an account. You must provide accurate information, keep your login safe, and be at least 13 years old (and old enough to form a binding contract where you live). You are responsible for activity under your account.
You may edit or delete your profile and account at any time from the profile page. Deleting an account removes your saves, likes, tried-its, follows, and profile answers. Ideas already published on the site stay — they were never yours alone.
We may suspend or close an account that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe is being used to harm the Service or other people.
4. Ideas and other content
Our content. Ideas, writing, photos, the site design, logos, and the skill-bundle format are owned by Mydeas or used with permission. You may read them, try them, share a link to a page, and load a downloaded skill bundle into a personal AI assistant. You may not copy the library wholesale, scrape it in a way that burdens the Service, resell our content as your own product, or remove credit we have given.
What you send us. If you email an idea or other material to us, you grant Mydeas a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, edit, publish, and adapt it in the Service (including as a skill bundle). We will ask before crediting you by name, and we will not publish a name we have not cleared. You represent that you have the right to send us what you send.
Your account activity. Saves, likes, tried-its, and follows are yours to manage. Counts may appear on the site; we do not attach your name to a like or a tried-it.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Break the law, or use the Service to harm anyone.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or non-public tools (including staff studio and MCP surfaces).
- Interfere with or overload the Service, or bypass rate limits or access controls.
- Misrepresent who you are, or harvest other people's information from the Service.
- Upload malware or content that is illegal, sexually exploitative of minors, or that we reasonably judge as harassment or a genuine safety risk.
We host family-facing ideas. The Service is not a place for adult content or for targeting children.
6. Third-party services
The Service uses other companies to run: hosting and email on Amazon Web Services, newsletter delivery on Beehiiv, optional Google sign-in, and — for search and staff drafting — OpenAI. Links on idea pages (including where to get a tool) go to third-party sites we do not control. Their terms and privacy practices apply when you leave mydeas.co.
If a link on an idea is a paid or affiliate link, we will disclose that. Today that flag exists in our system and is unused; unmarked links are not paid placements.
7. Disclaimers
Ideas are practical suggestions from real life, not professional advice. A kitchen trick, a homeschool activity, or a project to build may not fit your house, your kids, or your tools. You try things at your own risk. We do not warrant that the Service is uninterrupted, error-free, or that a particular idea will work as described.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MYDEAS, LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, OFFICERS, AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, GOODWILL, OR PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) TWENTY-FIVE U.S. DOLLARS ($25). THE SERVICE IS FREE TO USE TODAY; THIS CAP STILL APPLIES.
Some places do not allow certain limitations. In those places, our liability is limited to the fullest extent the law allows.
9. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify Mydeas, LLC against claims, damages, and reasonable legal fees arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms, except to the extent we caused the harm.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. The effective date at the top will change, and the updated Terms will apply from that date. If a change is material, we will say so on this page. Continued use after the new date is acceptance of the new Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You and Mydeas agree that the state and federal courts located in Minnesota have exclusive jurisdiction, except that we may seek injunctive relief in any court.
If a court finds a part of these Terms unenforceable, the rest still applies. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service. They do not create a partnership, employment, or agency relationship.
